🌧️ A Nice Wee Day Out… Apparently
Well, another week has van
ished, and absolutely nobody here seems to have used it for resting, especially Mum.
We did manage a lovely forest walk with cousin Dottie Doodle. Mum called it “a nice wee day out”, which is technically true, if your definition of “nice” includes horizontal rain and a full-body soaking.
There is photographic evidence.
Nobody looked elegant.
🌿 Mum Versus The Garden
Back at Jet Stream Towers, Mum’s been on a serious gardening mission, getting everything tidy for autumn and winter.
When Mum says she’s going out for a “wee prune”, the rest of us take cover.
The chainsaw appeared.
Branches started falling.
Entire shrubs reconsidered their life choices.
I observed from a safe distance with my tail tucked firmly out of the danger zone.
Even Kevin temporarily left the area, and he considers retreat a sign of weakness.
🦚 Meanwhile, Management Remains Unchanged
Kevin, incidentally, remains self-appointed Head of Security.
He does not lay eggs.
He does not contribute.
But he does stomp about like middle management during a crisis.
Paddy, Head of Snack Acquisition, continues to believe that every object in existence may secretly be food.
And Del Boy?
Del Boy remains three feet away from wherever he might be useful, watching, judging, doing absolutely nothing.
If there were an Olympic event for doing the least while looking deeply important, Del Boy would take gold.
👀 Something Very Special Is Happening…
Something else is happening too.
Something special.
On Thursday... that's tomorrow in case you've forgotten... a very special new member will be joining the Jet Stream family, and I am under strict instructions not to say any more.
This is because Mum claims I cannot be trusted with confidential information.
I find this deeply offensive.
Mostly because it’s true.
So I’m saying nothing.
Nothing at all.
But if you happen to keep an eye on our social media on Thursday, you may just spot a very exciting new face. 👀
🐾 Paddie Paws Club Is Nearly Here... wooohoooo
Meanwhile, Paddie Paws Club is getting ready to launch on 1st October.
All I’m allowed to say is:
Stay tuned.
There are surprises.
There are plans.
There are lots of things.
And if I say any more, apparently there will be consequences.
🧣 The Blankies Have Landed 👀
We’ve also had new blankies arrive... very special blankies indeed. Two of them are a nod to the loch where mum used to work, and to remember the osprey who live there part of the year.
Some have matching mugs... some don't...
And as usual, our seasonal blankies are limited. Once they are gone, Only mum will decide if they will ever return.
Mum designed them.
Mum ordered them.
Mum waited for them.
And now Mum is wandering around holding them up next to mugs saying,
“Oh, look at that!”
…every five minutes.
We humour her.
It seems safest.
They’ll be appearing in the website shop soon, along with a variety of very exciting collie gifts and other things you never knew you needed.
DO YOU WANT A SNEAKY PEEK?
Ofcourse you do.... but for goodness sake don't tell mum... I will never get my teeth near a Yak chew again!! Keep an eye open on the webbie site for ordering.
🎃 Something Wicked This Way Comes…
Halloween is creeping ever closer, and Mum is planning some very special limited boxes.
I had always imagined product development would look more professional.
Instead, it looks a lot like Mum surrounded by boxes, mugs and blankets while muttering measurements to herself.
I can exclusively reveal that they are called:
THE BIG BOO BOX
and
BOO FOR TWO
The contents?
A safely guarded secret.
Kevin does have his uses and has been press-ganged into looking after the boxes, making sure nobody sneaks a peek.
Frankly, this is the first useful thing he’s done all week.
🍂 BOOK LAUNCH — 28TH SEPTEMBER
And finally, this one I am allowed to tell you.
On 28th September, Jet Discovers Autumn, book THREE in my seasonal series, launches directly for the very first time on our very own Jet Stream website. 🍁📚

Every Sunday around teatime, we’ll be putting up a wee post on our socials, along with a matching email for everyone on our mailing list.
Kevin has decided we are calling this the ... wait for it....
THE SUNDAY SQUAWK!
It’ll be a little Sunday catch-up with a look ahead at what’s coming over the next seven days... things like new books, Paddie Paws Club bits, shop arrivals, competitions, walks, adventures, general nonsense… and, knowing this place, probably at least one thing Mum hadn’t planned for.
